The second edition of the competition is now in progress: Design of the Future. Best SunRoof Project 2021, in which professional and adept architects create their own vision of the house or carport of the future with a SunRoof solar roof using BIMobject and the Grenton Smart Home System. The projects will be judged by an international jury of renowned architects and prominent experts in sustainable design and climate neutrality solutions. Let’s meet the distinguished personalities who will select the winners of the competition and award prizes worth a total of €7,000.
The illustrious ‘14’ will select the winners
I’m delighted that, for the second time, our initiative has brought together such a large group of respected experts and together we can take part in the search for the best ideas for sustainable architecture. New technologies give house designers more freedom to act. That’s why I encourage the contestants to be creative and bold in their use of good energy to shorten the path to energy neutrality,
says Lech Kaniuk, CEO of SunRoof, who is part of the contest jury.
SunRoof solar panels show how cutting-edge technology and innovative design can be combined in one smart sustainable solution. The SunRoof technology, created in Sweden and refined in Poland, offers a way to turn your home into a small green power house, and make a contribution in the fight against climate change. It is a pleasure for the Embassy of Sweden to be associated with this project, and I look forward to learning more about the exciting ideas which will be presented as a result of this competition,
- says Stefan Gullgren, Ambassador of Sweden to Poland.
Innovation comes from change, so the architecture of the future should be guided by change. We can start the revolution by creating more ecological designs using digital replicas of products that have information embedded in them, such as their environmental impact. That’s why BIMobject is contributing to this revolution with BIM objects to support architects and inspire them to design in a faster, smarter and more sustainable way,
says Michał Derc, Team Manager at BIMobject.
In view of the changes that are taking place in the environment, every action, even the smallest gesture aimed at its protection, is worth the greatest respect. Unfortunately, decisions to use renewable energy sources are often made at the stage of the finished building. They are secondary to the architecture. They often spoil the aesthetics or ergonomics of the building and its surroundings. They also don’t allow for full use of the potential of the technology itself. Therefore, aware of these challenges, we want to support initiatives that ensure that pro-ecological solutions become an integral part of architecture right at the design stage,
says Daniel Cieślik, founder of ANTA ARCHITEKCI.
SunRoof builds 2-in-1 solar roofs and innovative façades that generate electricity without having to install traditional photovoltaic modules. This is the best investment replacing the need for installing solar panels on top of a classic roof - the most efficient solution, the lowest carbon footprint, uncompromising elegance. Our mission is to speed up the global transition to renewables by developing beautiful roofs that, by generating electricity, will cover the energy demand of the entire building.
