2in1 technology – more durable and more impressive

A photovoltaic façade has turned a single-family house in Lodz, Poland into a private ‘green power station’. The building has a flat roof, so was not possible to install a façade integrated with solar cells, the owner of the property would have had to make a difficult choice between what is impressive and what is practical and cost-efficient.

The SunRoof system not only serves as a traditional façade, but also turns sunshine into electricity. It uses the technology of monocrystalline glass-glass solar panels, which are highly durable and fully resistant to unfavourable external factors.

Eco-friendliness and savings

As emphasised by the investor, he installed the photovoltaic façade mainly due to the savings that can be generated by opting for pure energy. The 2in1 solution with a power of 6.825 kWp produces 6,490 kWh of free electricity a year and makes it possible to significantly lower the costs of heating the building, powering its equipment and charging an electric car.

However, the benefits for the household budget are not everything. Another huge advantage is the environmental aspect. The photovoltaic façade reduces CO2 emissions by 5,270 kg a year and while protecting the environment, it gives the property owner considerable energy independence.
